This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
no camera!! no scanner!! how am i supposed to get my stuff up without it? only have one drawn pic up because my camera wire isnt working and the scanners messed up..so ive been messing around with photoshop...
no problem.. im having the biggest problem figuring out photoshop..do you have any idea how to color or paint in photoshop, i could really use some help
ok, well i'll tell you right off the bat that coloring using your mouse will most likely be very tedious :\
BUT i can give you some pointers they may vary a little bit though depending on what version of photoshop you have though mine is pretty outdated, i have 5.0 XD
but anyways, there are many commands easily accessible via keyboard that you will use a lot. for example, ctrl+z = undo x=switch to other color choice b=brush tool e=eraser ctrl+= = zoom in ctrl+- = zoom out ctrl+r = redo ctrl+s = save ctrl+shift+s = save as [ and ] make brush sizes bigger and smaller etc etc etc...there are tons and tons. i just remember some that i use most often, but you'll have to find most out for yourself
so, i think the largest advantage to using digital programs to color is the layers i'm not sure how much you've researched, but basically layers are different levels you can control, so if you want to color just a certain part of the image you don't have to worry about messing up the rest
you generally want your lines to be your top layer and the colors below that. Also, you may want to label your layers, i.e. "lines"/"background"/"base colors"/"highlights"/"shadows" or whatever
however, when you scan in your line art you will not be able to color under it easy enough. it will automatically be called, "background" if you open a jpg or bitmap (i think 6^^). just double click the name, it will automatically come up with a change name thing and label it layer 0.
just click ok, then in order to color under it you MUST change the layer mode (little dropdown chart) to Multiply otherwise you will just be coloring under a huge screen of white and won't be able to see anything XP
(haha that took me forever to figure out)
so i think that's basically what you need to get started. just remember to keep your layers straight and make sure you're coloring on the right one. and have patience haha it takes a bit to learn.
feel free to ask me anything else or clarify! and also, i got a lot of tips and tricks from watching youtube tutorials or reading them here on dA.

there's really loads to learn about it, but there are a lot of great tutorials out there also
are you coloring 100% digitally or scanning then coloring? and do you have a tablet or will you be just using a mouse?
